Gentle
 
A class that helps you find space and ease in your body while quieting the mind, by focusing on the breath, gentle stretching, slow movement and resorative asanas (poses). Suitable for beginners or continuing students who wish to have a more meditative practice and for those with physical limitations. No experience required. Multi Level 1  (Thursday 7:45 PM)
 
A class for beginners and continuing students, introducing the asanas (poses), the fundamentals of movement, alignment, and breath. Emphasizes improving your flexibility, confidence, strength, and reducing tension. No experience required. "The practice of asanas purges the body of its impurities, bringing strength, firmness, calmness, and clarity of mind." BKS Iyengar
 
Multi Level 2 (Thursday 6:15 PM)
 
An ongoing class for continuing students to challenge them in their practice, encouraging them to find deeper body awareness. Previous yoga experience is required as inversions and deeper backbends are practiced.  "Asanas penetrate deep into each layer of the body and ultimately into the consciousness itself." BKS Iyengar
 
Intermediate
 
This class is for students who have a solid knowledge of the yoga asanas (poses). Emphasis is on understanding alignment principles and tuning into the subtleties of moving from the inner body. Inversions and back-bends are a part of this class. Two years of in-class yoga experience required. Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer Survivors  (Click for more information)
 
Yoga Thrive is a research-based, therapeutic yoga program for cancer survivors (on or off treatment) and their support person(s). This gentle program is based on hatha yoga, but has been modified for cancer survivors, especially those who are experiencing stiffness, pain, stress or fatigue. Past participants have found significant benefits in overall mood, stress levels, physical strength, and quality of life. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention and safety.
